Getting Started
How to Access Your VA Benefits
VA benefits are available to eligible Veterans, Servicemembers, and their families. The fastest way to apply, check status, and manage your benefits is through the eBenefits portal at ebenefits.va.gov — your one-stop shop for VA and DoD benefits online.
While Delta Medical Group has consolidated this information to better serve our Veterans information needs, we are not endorsed by or otherwise working on behalf of the Federal Government.
Step 1Register
Create a free eBenefits account at ebenefits.va.gov. Registration is available to active duty, retired, National Guard, Reserve, and Veteran servicemembers, as well as eligible family members over age 18.
Step 2Apply
File a Fully Developed Claim (FDC) online, check the status of compensation and pension claims, download your DD-214, and access VA letters — all from your personalized eBenefits dashboard.
Step 3Manage
View payment history, generate a VA home loan certificate of eligibility, check your Post-9/11 GI Bill enrollment status, sign up for Veterans' Group Life Insurance (VGLI), and more.

VA benefits cover compensation, health care, education, housing, and more — for eligible Veterans and their families.
Disability Compensation: A monthly tax-free benefit for disabilities incurred or worsened by service. Requires discharge under other than dishonorable conditions.
Health Care: Hospital, outpatient, dental, pharmacy, and prosthetic services, plus specialized care for women Veterans, MST treatment, and homeless Veteran programs.
Education & Training: Benefits for approved education and training programs, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, and VetSuccess vocational rehabilitation.
Home Loans & Housing: VA-guaranteed loans with no down payment or mortgage insurance. Severely disabled Veterans may qualify for Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grants. grants..

MyHealtheVet (VA Health Login)
Sign in to your secure VA health account at myhealth.va.gov to access appointments, medical records, secure messaging with your care team, and prescription tracking in one place.
VA Health Chat (Mobile App)
The VA Health Chat app lets you receive care from VA without an in-person visit. Use it to message your care team, address COVID-19 concerns, and more. Available for iOS and Android at mobile.va.gov/app/va-health-chat.

Disabled Veterans
Core Benefits for Those Who Served
Eligible Veterans may receive disability compensation, pension, health care, education and training, home loan guaranty, life insurance, vocational rehabilitation, and burial benefits. You may be eligible if discharged under other than dishonorable conditions.
Disability compensation: tax-free monthly benefit for service-connected conditions
Pension: tax-free benefit for wartime Veterans with limited income aged 65+
VetSuccess vocational rehabilitation for Veterans with service-connected disabilities
Dependents & Survivors
Benefits for Families of Veterans
VA honors the sacrifices of Servicemembers' and Veterans' families through benefit programs available to surviving spouses, dependent children, and parents. Benefits include financial compensation, health coverage, and educational assistance.
Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC): monthly tax-free benefit for surviving spouses and children
CHAMPVA: health care cost-sharing for eligible surviving spouses and dependents not covered by TRICARE
Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA): up to 45 months of education benefits for eligible spouses and children
National Guard & Reserve
VA Benefits for Guard & Reserve Members
National Guard and Reserve members may qualify for a wide range of VA benefits. Eligibility depends on length of service, duty status (Title 10 or Title 32), and whether the service was honorable. Generally, all members discharged under non-dishonorable conditions are eligible for some benefits.
Disability compensation available for injuries or diseases incurred or aggravated during active duty or active duty for training
Home loan guaranty available with 6 years of Selected Reserve or National Guard service, honorably discharged
Education benefits including Post-9/11 GI Bill, MGIB-Selected Reserve, and Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP)
